Pitti Fragranze 2022….my fragrance diary

The long days of summer may be behind us but the sun was still shining in Italy when the fragrance community gathered in Florence for Pitti Fragranze September 16 – 18. The theme of this year’s event centered around the five senses which were twisted around to inspire a multi-sensorial experience: Smell my eyes, Hear my Skin, Touch my Scent, See my Lips, Taste my Smell. The days at Pitti were filled with fragrance discoveries at booths, with informative lectures, after hours events and with off site visits to several perfumeries scattered around town. Multi-sensorial indeed. Here’s a peak into my diary.

Givaudan and XiMo Announce Commercial Fragrance Production

Givaudan announced together with the company XiMo Hungary Kft, the development of a new catalyst to synthesize the ingredients of a fragrance, within a new sustainable process. Givaudan successfully produced the fragrance ingredient commercially. XiMo, a player in catalysts, has developed, manufactured and will supply the catalyst system used for the synthesis of the ingredients of this fragrance. World’s First Children’s Olfactory Exhibition Launched in Norway

The first olfactory experiential exhibition dedicated to children was inaugurated in Norway. Firmenich appoints three outstanding new Master Perfumers

Firmenich has appointed three new Master Perfumers: François-Raphaël Balestra, Wessel-Jan Kos and Haresh Totlani, who will join an exclusive elite of nine Master Perfumers who have achieved the highest level of excellence and achievement in their respective fields and adherence. to the Firmenich princes.
François-Raphaël Balestra in Firmenich since 1999 has created the fragrances of the main laundry products around the world and is the head of the New Ingredients Discovery for Perfumery at Firmenich, collaborating in the creation of Dreamwood ™, a biotechnological innovation inspired by the wood of sandalwood and Muguissimo ™, a note of lily of the valley exceptionally close to nature born from green synthesis. Commodity : Rebooting a Modern, American Perfumery Brand

Harpers bazaar talks about the launch of the fragrances of the Phlur brand, whose creative director is Chriselle Lim, an American entrepreneur and mega influencer, which had an impressive result.
