Are you still able to work and in what kind of conditions?
I have been confined at home for a month but we have recently reopened deliveries from our www.jovoyparis.com website with very positive results.
At home conditions were not easy as I was surrounded by my five kids. We have been gardening a lot, spent a lot of time together. Going back to normal life will be much different than before, we have had to find new landmarks but overall it is an extremely positive thing for my family. We will probably enjoy more time together in the future since we learned to how to spend time together.

If you were forced to cease operating/close your shop, how are you preparing to get back into business?
We are preparing for round 2 with many actions to come and we wish to get closer to our followers. Our stores in Paris or London used to benefit from frequent visits from tourists. This is not going to happen again soon so we are really doing everything we can to improve our online experience and have quite a lot of ideas for the future. For the time being, I know all the Christian names of my banker’s children, to such extent that this may end in a marriage!

How, in your opinion, will your business change when we get back to a new sort of normality?
We will have to adapt to new sanitary standards and change our rituals and service in store. The key is probably in how pertinent and generous we can be in terms of sampling. With several stores that may have to close down, there will be a period during which the web will be complicated with players willing to get rid of their stock and get their cash back. This plus the traditional gray market will also be a challenge for authorized retailers who still pay rent and have staff as contracted before all of this started. I think some brands also will disappear and this may bring some kind of clarity in the offer that was a bit messy. Newnesss will take a bit of time to come out, I think , in brief, we are all going back to the fundamentals starting with excellent service. The age of innocence is definitely over!
